N-Team 分为三个组别 (Category):

  • Team A, 马来西亚18岁以下最强种子选手,
    代表马来西亚参与世界各地的青少年围棋赛事与交流。
  • Team B, 马来西亚18岁以下优秀的选手,透过围棋联赛将获取挑战Team A 选手的资格。
    自动入选参与马来西亚各大国内选拔资格。
  • Trainee 实习生,马来西亚18岁以下成功透过各大围棋比赛选拔出来的潜力选手。

第四届集训营 (The 4th National Youth Team Training Camp)
集训营简介 (Introduction):
青少年围棋代表队成立至已经第四年头,选手都是在各大赛事中脱颖而出的青少年精英棋手。目的是让有潜质与热忱学习的学生,一个迈向国际大赛的训练平台。国家队的训练模式,让选手们打下良好的基础代表马来西亚出赛国际舞台!
 
这次集训目的让选手们完成观摩赛交流,接触经典文化课堂和围棋技术特训等课程安排。重点提升选手们的文化素质,了解棋艺与棋技的重要性。开始接触棋艺的精神面貌,脱离匠气。
 

日期 Date: 6月 5,6,7号 (3D2N) (5th-7th June 2017)

 * 报到 (Start/Registration) :  5th June 10.00am
 * 结束 (End) :  7th June 6.00pm
地点Venue: Darul Ta’lim 知竹圓. Lot 3021, Batu 14, Jalan Felcra Semungkis
费用 Fees: 集训费用全由主办单位赞助 (Participation fees will be sponsor by organizers)

参与资格 (Eligibility):
筹委会将会从国内3大重要赛事中筛选脱颖而出的选手们。 (The organizer will select eligible candidates from the following competitions)
1) 孔子杯围棋赛 全国20强 (Top 20 from Kongzi Weiqi Competition)
2) 马来西亚公开赛 各组前5名 (Top 5 from each category in Malaysia Weiqi Open Championship)
3) 马来西亚中小学围棋校际联赛 (Malaysia School Weiqi Competition)

如何参加 (How to Participate):
所有在邀请名单内的学生,都符合资格申请加入代表队及参与第四届集训营。
请在申请加入前仔细阅读代表队章程。 (Refer to attached invitation list)

欲报名参加的选手请在报名截止日期前 15.5.2017 把表格填妥后与身份证复印一同交给组办单位以完成报名。如无法在期限内把表格交上,请先透过电话联络负责人确定报名事项,表格可在稍后交上。

2017 “国手山脉” International Weiqi Competition

『2017 国手山脉 国际围棋大赛』 , 国际儿童围棋节
(2017 Kuksu Mountain Cup International Baduk Competition) , International Children Baduk Festival 

Dear MWA members, we have invitation from Korea Buduk Association to participate in the above Baduk competition. Participation is open to all MWA members age below 15 years old.

Date: 28-July – 2-Aug July 2017
Venue: Korea
Qualification: Children Age below 15
Organizer: Korea Baduk Association

Fees:
 * No Registration fees
 * Participants pay own tickets
 * Organizer pay for food, accommodation & sightseeing cost during tournaments.
 * Fees for accompany parents = USD270 per person.

3rd South East Asia Go Championship

3rd_seagcThe South East Asia Go Championship (SEAGC) is an annual event involving participants from South East Asia countries, each and every country’s weiqi association will take turns to organised the event.

This year the 3rd South East  Asia Go Championship will be hosted by Brunei Darussalam Go Association, they are planning to held the tournament from the 2nd to 6th December, 2016.

 

 

MWA is invited to participate in this coming event to send 2 teams of 4 players each and 2 team leaders as West Malaysia Team. The team must be of Total Rank-Cost not more than 4-dan.

Event: 3rd South East  Asia Go Championship (Brunei)

Date: 2nd to 6th December, 2016

Venue: Bandar Sri Begawan, Brunei Darussalam

Participating Teams: Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia (West Malaysia), Singapore, the Philippines, Myanmar, Laos, Sarawak (East Malaysia) and Cambodia.

MWA members who are interested to participate in this tournament please contact us to register. We will organised selection tournament if they are more than 8 interested participants. Due date for registration is before 30th Sept 2016.

Please note that participants need to pay a Participation Fees of SGD100, and take care of their own return air ticket to/from Brunei International Airport. the organiser will covers accommodation and meals from 2nd to 6th Dec.

 

 

Japan Go Master Visit Malaysia

We are glad to announce that two Japanese Go Master will be visiting Malaysia from 16th – 22nd September 2016.

Go Career Profile:

  • He became a pro of the Nihon Ki-in (Tokyo), being certified as a professional shodan in 1990.
  • He got runner-up in the 16th Kisei Tournament Shodan game in 1991.
  • He got promoted to 7 dan pro in 2002.
  • He achieved 300 wins in Japan’s pro tournaments in 2009.
  • He has got very good reputation for teaching go and he has taught go wide range of people and ages from complete beginners to amateur dan players.
  • He has been teaching go at primary schools.
  • His teaching method is named as ‘Mizuma Method’, which is introduced in go class at many Japanese educational institutions.

Go Career Profile:

  • He became a pro of the Nihon Ki-in (Osaka), being certified as a professional shodan in 2012.
  • He got promoted to 2 dan pro in 2015.
  • His parents are also professional go players. (his father is Komatsu Hideki 9p and his mother is Komatsu Hideko 4p.)
  • He has taught go many primary school children in Osaka.
  • He studied English for over 10 months in 2015 at an English conversational school in Japan.
  • He was dispatched to Moscow and St.Peterburg in 2015 for promotion of go and to Romania for European Go Congress in 2014.

10th KPMC International Amateur Baduk Championship

The 2015 10th Korea Prime Minister Cup (KPMC) International Amateur Baduk Championship is going to be held in Seoul city, Korea, on November 22-27, 2015.

Invited Nations: Representative players from 73 countries/ territories

MWA is going to organize a selection tournament on 19 Sep (Sat), at Kongzi Institute, UM to select a representative player for the 10th KPMC. MWA members who are interested to joint the selection tournaments please contact Mr. Tiong for more info.

Please note that the host organizer will cover 50% of air-ticket, & all official expenses (meals, accommodation) during tournament period.

11th Nanning Weiqi Tournament

The 11th China(Nanning)-ASEAN Weiqi International Invitational Tournament

Organizer: Nanning Sports Administration & Training Center, Guangxi Weiqi

Date: October 26th -30th, 2015

Location: Yongjiang Hotel, Nanning, Guangxi, P.R.China

Participation:

  1. Countries and Regions Invited: Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, the United States, Japan; Hong Kong SAR, Macao SAR, Chinese Taipei. One team should be sent from each invited countries and regions.
  2. Two teams should be sent to represent Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and Nanning city respectively.
  3. Each team includes 3 players (2 male and 1 female) with no limit dan grade, and one of the three should be the team leader.

MWA will hold a selection Tournament at Kongzi Institute, UM on 5 Sep 2015 (Sat) from 12 noon to 8 pm. Those interested to join please contact Mr. Tiong.

 

 

36th WAGC Final Ranking

The 36th World Amateur Go Championship (WAGC), June 6 – 10, 2015 in Bangkok, Thailand

Total 57 Players from all over the world gather in Bangkok to compete in this year’s WAGC; The 4-days (7-10 June) competition in using 8-rounds Swiss system. This year’s event is co-organize by The International Go Federation (IGF) / The Go Association of Thailand (GAT).

MWA is represented by Chang Fu Kang (5D, age 12), he score a very impresive result with 5 wins & rank 11th place in the final standing.
