The 2nd Oromedia Cup International Amateur Weiqi Championship

The Go Training Camp was held at Japan Club, Taman Seputeh KL on 14 - 15 March 2009. This event is organised by Malaysia Weiqi Associattion (MWA), MWA have the honour to invite Mr. Kang Zhan Bin (Pro 6-Dan) from Singapore Weiqi Association to coach their members during this two days intensive Go training camp.   
The training includes professional games reviews (include games played by some of the top professional go players from China, Korea & Japan such as Lee ChangHo, Choe CheolHan, Lee Sedol, Gu Li & Chang Hao), study of some latest opening strategies, joseki, fuseki, attack & defense, whole board position judgement and direction of play.   
MWA and JC Igo Club members also have the opputunity to play teaching games with Mr. Kang after the trainig session. Malaysia-Japan Junior Internet Go Tournament 2008An Internet Go tournament between Malaysia Weiqi Association (MWA) and Japan (Matsunaga team) junior go players was held on 14 Dec 2008, the competition is carried out via Internet using KGS Go Server at Malaysia Room.  Malaysia Team is represented by : Lim Shu Wen, Chow Zhi Mei, Ng Yow Aeng, Chow Zhi Hao, Ng Yen Aeng, Ng Juan Heng, using username "mwago01" - "mwago06". Japan Team is represented by K. Ashihara, R.
