Long-standing MWA president since the 2003 reconstitution. Frequently appears as opening guest and signatory for MWOC invitations, and is co-author of Hangzhou conference papers on Malaysian Weiqi history cited in later research.

Described in secondary research as a Johor Bahru native educated in Taiwan who founded Malaysia’s earliest Weiqi association in Kuala Lumpur around 1985.

Born 2003. Won MWOC Dan titles in 2015 and 2016, represented Malaysia at WAGC, then became a Nihon Ki-in professional in 2020 (1p), promoted to 2p (2022) and 3p (2025). Widely recognised as Southeast Asia’s first Nihon Ki-in pro. Competed for Malaysia at the Hangzhou Asian Games.

2008 Malaysia Weiqi Tournament champion; WAGC 2008 (Tokyo) and later WAGC appearances. Won the 4th MWOC Dan division in 2014. Featured in Malaysian media as a visible Malay Weiqi competitor.

MWOC 2016 Dan runner-up and later Malaysia Open winner at the 11th MWOC. Serves on the MWA executive committee and represented Malaysia on the Asian Games men’s Go team.
